More Aggressive Tires

$60 – $80

As our trails get faster and more aggressive, so have our tires. Back when we started riding, 1.95” tires at 40+psi were a pretty common sight. Today, wider, higher volume, and more aggressively treaded mountain bike tires have become the norm where pressures rarely exceed 30psi. When it comes to leaning into corners at higher speeds, the side knobs of your front tire are what’s keeping you upright and out of the dirt, and greater volume allows for lower pressures, resulting in superior traction. More speed in the corners equals more speed overall, which in turn equals more smiles per mile.

Ditch those scarcely treaded XC race tires and find out how much fun corners can be. Maxxis are the undisputed kings of mountain bike tires, as well as being a southeastern company, and we typically keep the Minion, Tomahawk, Aggressor, High Roller, and Ardents in stock in a variety of sizes. You might be surprised how dramatically a different tire combo will change the overall feel of your bike.
